NAME: Nathan Suarez

PARENTS: Holly and Ralph Suarez

SIBLINGS: I have one older sister and two younger brothers. Ashley is 23, Jack is 15 and Nicholas is 8.

FAVORITE SUBJECT IN SCHOOL: Math

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME? Soccer

FAVORITE FOOD: Steak

FAVORITE MUSIC ARTIST OR GROUP: The Eagles

FAVORITE MOVIE: Black Hawk Down

FAVORITE TV SHOW: Burn Notice

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY AS A KID? My Billy Blazer toy

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? I’m going to go into the Marine Corps Reserves then I’ll start college in the spring, hopefully, Engineering, mechanical or aerospace.

OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO HAS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? Probably one of my teachers or coaches. There’s actually quite a few. I couldn’t name just one. Coaches instill values like teamwork, leadership. Teachers sort of guide you along, help you figure out what you’re going to do with your life.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT SOCCER: The teamwork aspect of it. It’s a lot of fun to make everyone work together to achieve the goal of scoring.

WHAT DO YOU FEEL IS YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY ON THE FIELD? Keep people from scoring.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? I think we’re doing decent. We could’ve done better. We slacked off a little bit but then we picked it up at the end so we secured a spot for the State tournament.

WHAT’S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE SEASON SO FAR? Probably beating Siloam while we were down like five players.

WHAT’S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT STATE? We’ve got to work together and we’ve got to give everything we have.

INDIVIDUALLY, WHAT ABOUT YOUR GAME ARE YOU MOST CONFIDENT ABOUT? I’m fast and I can keep people from scoring.

WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST TO IMPROVE? My touches.

AFTER YOU’RE THROUGH PLAYING SOCCER AT BHS, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT IT? Probably my teammates; they’re a lot of fun to hang out with. It sort of becomes a big family-type thing.
