WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? Go to UALR to major in Computer Science and minor in Programming.

OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO HAS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? HOW HAVE THEY INFLUENCED YOU? Coach (Steve) Oury has definitely been a huge influence for me. He’s taught us all to have good sportsmanship when we win, and to keep our heads up and work harder when a race doesn’t go our way. I’ve learned that I can’t always set a PR every time I hit the course, but I can always give it my all.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT CROSS COUNTRY: Definitely my teammates. We’re all family, most of them I’ve been running with since seventh grade.

WHAT’S YOUR APPROACH TO A RACE (Strategy/Preparation)? I always listen to music and just try and mentally prepare myself to do my best.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? It’s been really good so far. We’ve had some really good races and a lot of new PRs.

WHAT’S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT TO THE SEASON? Going to the Chile Pepper. I didn’t do as well as I’d hoped I would do but it was a great experience.

AFTER YOU’RE THROUGH RUNNING CROSS COUNTRY AT BHS, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT IT? My teammates. They’re who I spend the majority of time with, both in and out of practice and meets. We’ve all been through a lot together.
