SIBLINGS: I have two brothers. Rodney Hughes is my older brother and Derek Johnson is my younger brother. He’s 14.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY AS A KID? I didn’t really play with toys when I was little.

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? I plan on going to college and majoring in Biology. I don’t know where yet.

OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO’S HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? HOW? God. That’s just like the one constant that’s always there.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT BASKETBALL? Buzzer-beaters.

POSITION: Shooting guard

WHAT DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES ARE ON THE FLOOR? To shoot the ball, to score.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? I think we’re doing pretty good. We’re not where we want to be yet but we’re going to get there.

WHEN THE TEAM’S PLAYING WELL, WHAT’S IT DOING? We’re just sticking with our game plan. We’re bonding. We’ve got a lot of team chemistry, so we play well.

WHAT’S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT TO THE SEASON SO FAR? I would say beating Central because it was a big game for us.

WHAT’S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL THE REST OF THE SEASON? Just keep improving in practice every day and know that we still have a long way to go before we’re at the top.

WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST TO IMPROVE ON IN PRACTICE? Defense.

WHEN YOU’RE THROUGH PLAYING BASKETBALL AT BRYANT HIGH SCHOOL, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL LOOK BACK AND REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE? I think it will be more things that are done and said in the locker room than on the court, like our team bonding and just time with the girls in the locker room, just talking and stuff.
