The Bryant Black Sox will host the 2014 Arkansas Senior American Legion State Tournament at Bryant High School Field starting Saturday morning, July 26.
The Sox come into the tournament with a 37-4 record this season. They’ll open against North Little Rock at around 7:30 p.m.
The tournament includes programs including Bryant (2012, 2007, 2005), Texarkana (2013, 2011, 2010), Jonesboro (2009, 2008), and Fort Smith (2004) that have produced nine of the last 10 championships since 2004. Including North Little Rock, Jacksonville and Mountain Home, the group has produced 18 titles since 1984.
Bryant and Texarkana, Zone 4 rivals have battled in the last three State title games. Bryant and Jonesboro squared off in the title game in 2009.
Official opening ceremonies for the double elimination tourney will be held between games 2 and 3.

Game 2 — Fort Smith Kerwins Athletics vs. Jonesboro Ricemen, 30 minutes after completion of game 1
Game 3 — Cabot Centennial Bank vs. Texarkana Red River Federal Credit Union Razorbacks, 4 p.m.
Game 4 — Bryant Black Sox vs. North Little Rock Colts, 30 minutes after completion of game 3
Sunday, July 27
Game 5 — Game 1 loser vs. game 3 loser, 10 a.m.
Game 6 — Game 2 loser vs. game 4 loser
Game 7 — Game 1 winner vs. game 3 winner, 4 p.m.
Game 8 — Game 2 winner vs. game 4 winner

Game 9 — Game 6 winner vs. game 7 loser, 1 p.m.
Game 10 — Game 5 winner vs. game 8 loser, 4 p.m.
