PEARCY — The Bryant White Lady Hornets eighth grade team of Bryant Middle School moved one win away from a perfect season with a 33-9 win over the Lake Hamilton Lady Wolves eighth grade team on Tuesday night.
The Lady Hornets will go for 16-0 when they host Cabot South on Monday, Feb. 8, at the Bryant Middle School gym.
In seventh grade action, Lake Hamilton prevailed over Bryant White, 24-12.
Ivory Russ scored 13 points and Celena Martin 9 in the eighth grade win. Tierra Trotter added 6 with Sierra Trotter and Alivia Allen scoring 2 each. Makayla Kramer pitched in with a free throw.
In the seventh-grade game, Kaitlyn Weng finished with 6 points. Sequoia Green scored 4 and Jaiyah Jackson 2.
The Lady Hornets’ seventh grade team is set to play in a tournament in Cabot on Saturday before closing out their season on Thursday, Feb. 11, at home against Greenbrier.
