There's more than one big meeting between teams from Bryant and Conway this week and the first one happens tonight at the Hornets Nest. The second-place Lady Hornets and the first place Lady Wampus Cats battle in the 7A-Central Conference. A junior varsity match will begin at 5 with the varsity contest commencing around 6 p.m.
In their last home match, the Lady Hornets got a big lift from a boisterous group of students and parents as they rallied to defeat the Cabot Lady Panthers. They hoped to get more that tonight.
In their previous meeting in Conway on Sept. 16, the Lady Cats swept the Lady Hornets 25-16, 25-15, 25-12 but Bryant hasn't lost since in a regular-season match (not counting abbreviated matches at tournaments). The Lady Hornets bring a six-match winning streak into tonight.
