The Bryant Blue Lady Hornets seventh grade team of Bethel Middle School outscored the Bryant White Lady Hornets of Bryant Middle School 10-4 in the second half to surge to a 14-8 victory on Tuesday night.
Bryant White broke out to a 4-0 lead in the first quarter but Bryant Blue had a 4-0 second quarter to make a tie at the half. Bethel gained the upper hand in the third quarter but only held an 8-6 edge going into the final period.
Mary Catherine Selig and Allysa Fason led Bryant Blue with 4 points each. Lauren Burnett, Rachel Studdard and Ashlyn Thompson added 2 apiece.
For Bryant White, Allie Dugan scored 4 points. Lexi Helton and Imanii Jones had 2 each.
Bethel returns to action on Thursday at home against Lighthouse Charter. Bryant Middle travels to Hot Springs Lakeside for A and B games on Thursday, Jan. 30.
