Boys and Girls Club garners $5,500 through Dash for a Difference event

The 2013 Dash for a Difference 5K Committee
donated $5,500 to the Boys and Girls Club of Bryant[more] during the Club’s Board of
Directors meeting on May 31.

Over 350 parents, students, faculty, staff, and community members registered to
run, walk, or donate in the event held April 20. Thanks to Arkansas Bone & Joint
and the financial and in-kind donations of other generous sponsors, 100 percent of each
entry fee was donated directly to the Boys and Girls Club, which provides after
school and summer programming for over 650 students in grades K-8.

Suzanne Passmore, executive director of the Club, plans to use the proceeds
from the race for the summer program and the Great Futures Homework Help
room.

“All eleven of our schools came together with the community to raise these
funds. We’re thrilled to be able to donate this amount to help the Club serve
our kids,” said Devin Sherrill, Communications Director for Bryant Schools.
