MONTICELLO — The Bryant 13-year-old Babe Ruth All-Stars defeated host Monticello, 5-4, tonight to capture the 2009 State championship. According to head coach Jason Thompson, it's the first time the group of players has won a State title though they've been close nearly every year since they were 7.
With the victory, Bryant will advance to the Regionals in Bentonville where they'll open against the West Texas champion on Aug. 7.
