The Bryant White Hornets eighth grade B team of Bryant Middle School and the Bryant Blue Hornets eighth grade B team of Bethel Middle School battled to a 14-14 tie on Monday night at Bryant Stadium.
For Bryant White, Jace Freeman and Maliki Griffin each ran for touchdowns. Gage Stark threw a pass to Aiden Thompson to add a two-point conversion.
For Bryant Blue, Hayden Holt came through with a touchdown reception and an interception.
“Tyler Nicholas played really well at corner and receiver,” said Bethel coach Shane Clancy. “Brandon Barber played well at running back.”
Bryant White is scheduled to open the season on Thursday, Sept. 10 at Cabot North. Bryant Blue plays on Tuesday, Sept. 8, against Little Rock Horace Mann.
