Bryant Blue erupts on offense to top Lighthouse in seventh-grade boys game

In what head coach Derek McGrew called the team’s best offensive game of the season, the[more] Bryant Blue Hornets seventh grade team of Bethel Middle School had three players reach double figures scoring in a 46-30 win over Lighthouse Charter School on Monday night.

The Hornets improved to 8-5 going into their final game of the season this Thursday, Jan. 31, at home against Morrilton.

Diante Woodson finished with 17 points, Matthew Sandidge had 11 and Sam Chumley 10 in Monday’s victory. Jace Houston pitched in with 4 while Mitchell Wollard and Preston Kyzer added 2 each.

“Great execution and teamwork,” noted McGrew.

Bryant Blue built a 12-5 edge by the end of the first quarter then ran it out to 28-11 by halftime. It was 34-16 going into the fourth period.
