The Bryant Police Department received a call Wednesday around 4:40 p.m to an address on Center Street, a woman said that three black males came into her home and held her at gunpoint. The victim, Hazel Gilson, 74, said that she heard a knock at the door and when she opened the door the men forced their way into the home pointing a gun at her and then striking her in the head with the pistol.
A short moment later her husband Thomas Gilson, who was not at home at the time the men entered, walked in and he said that he was met with a gun in his face. Both victims were then forced to a back bedroom and placed in a bathroom where they were held at gunpoint while the others went tearing through the house looking for weapons or anything else they could find to take. The Gilsons stated that the three men then fled the house in an unknown direction.
The Bryant Police Department is following up on leads in this case but is asking the public, if they have any information regarding this incident to contact the Bryant Police Department Criminal Investigation Division.
