NORTH LITTLE ROCK — Playing as a freshman at the high school varsity level, Brenden Everhart of Bryant qualified for the Class 7A State tennis tournament and competed in the first round on Monday at Burns Park. Against Fort Smith Southside’s Dusty Mikula, however, Everhart absorbed a 1-6, 3-6 loss in the first round.
For the season, the promising ninth grader went 9-4 for the Hornets.
