Tim Bado, the starter for Crowder on the mound, absorbed the loss. Mike Sisco relieved in the third with the Roughriders trailing 8-0.

Crowder, playing in its first World Series, will try to stay alive with a game on Tuesday against the loser of a winners bracket game between Faulkner State Community College and the College of Southern Nevada which will be played on Monday.

No word yet on who will start that game on the mound for Crowder but Bryant's Tyler Sawyer is a possibility.

Crowder's roster includes 11 players from Arkansas including Sawyer and David Guarno of Bryant. Guarno is currently sidelined due to injury.
