Bryant High School athletic trainer Christa Finney has been selected to be on the training staff for the 2015 Arkansas Army National Guard/Arkansas High School Coaches Association All-Star games to be held June 23-26.
It’s the 60th anniversary of All-Star competition and the 12th for baseball, softball and soccer.
Finney will be serving the West All-Star football team. She joins Todd Ross of Pulaski Academy, Heidi Plyler of Lake Hamilton, Keith Shireman of Batesville, Heather Martin of Mountain Home, Brooke Meins of Conway, Michelle Edwards of Episcopal Collegiate of Little Rock and Jason Carruth of Conway Christian as selections for the various events.
It’s the first year for a training staff to be selected for the week’s activities.
As had been previously announced, Bryant athletes selected to participate this year are Cameron Davis and Drew Tipton in football, Allison Hughes and Kierra Solinger in girls soccer, Landon Fincher and Skylar Jewett in cheerleading, and Danielle Mashburn, Jayme Rash and Lexi Summers in dance. Bryant dance coach Laura Wooten will serve as an assistant coach on the East squad.
The All-Star baseball doubleheader will be played at Bear Stadium on the University of Central Arkansas campus in Conway on Tuesday, June 23, starting at 5 p.m.
The All-Star softball doubleheader will be played at Farris Field on the University of Central Arkansas campus in Conway on Tuesday, June 23, starting at 5 p.m.
The All-Star soccer will be played on Wednesday, June 24, at the Bill Stephens Complex on the UCA campus with the girls’ match starting at 6 p.m. and the boys’ match at 8.
The 60th All-Star basketball games will be played at Jeff Farris Center on the UCA campus on Thursday, June 25, with the girls’ game beginning at 6 p.m. and the boys’ game immediately following.
The 2015 All-Star Football game will be held on Friday, June 26, at Estes Stadium on the UCA campus. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
The 2015 All-Star Volleyball game will be held on Wednesday, June 24, at the Farris Center on the UCA campus starting at 7 p.m.
