Former Lady Hornets compete at Southland Conference meet

CONWAY — Two former Bryant Lady Hornet track stars competed for their respective universities at the 2014 Southland Conference Track & Field Championships held at the University of Central Arkansas last weekend.
UCA senior Jordan Chadwick earned a third place medal in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:13.2.  Her place also distinguished her as Southland All-Conference. Chadwick, who already owns the UCA 800-meter school record, became a part of another school record as a member of UCA’s 4 x 400-meter relay team. The Lady Bears’ new relay record of 3:48.03 was good for seventh place.
Alexis Royal, a freshman for Northwestern State University, competed in both the 100-meter hurdles and the 100-meter dash.  Although she did not make the finals in either event, she ran personal best times in both.
