The Bryant Lady Hornets freshman volleyball team got the regular season off to a shaky start on Monday, absorbing a 2-0 loss to the Cabot South Junior Lady Panthers at Bryant Middle School gym.

“We always seemed to be just one step late to the ball and hesitant on getting to the ball,” she mentioned. “I will take the blame for the loss and try to get the girls more ready for this weekend.”

The Junior Lady Hornets compete in a tournament on Saturday at Benton. “Hopefully we can iron out some of the kinks and get things turned around,” Long said. “It wasn’t the start that we hoped for but we definitely learned some things.”
