Group from BK’s Dance invited to perform at Sugar Bowl

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — WorldStrides OnStage programs has invited the dance team from BAM Dance Company from BK’s Dance to perform at the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.

The group includes Gabby Stewart, Alyssa Sawyer, Chloe Whitworth, Kristin Garner, Scarlett Culpepper and Payton Lee. The girls are 2015 Spotlight Dance Cup National Champions.

They will join dance, cheer, and drill teams from across the country in the halftime show finale of the college football bowl game.

“An invitation to perform at the Sugar Bowl is an honor reserved only for the most talented student performers from across the nation,” said Lauren Perpetua, Marketing Manager for OnStage Programs.

Under the direction of Brooke Finley, the studio owner, the BAM Dance Company will travel to New Orleans where they will rehearse with nationally acclaimed choreographer, Cris Judd. They will also have an opportunity to take in the sights of New Orleans.

Finley has been coaching the cheer team for two years, and will be leading the BAM Dance Company of six students to New Orleans.
