Leon Neale led the team in scoring with 11 points. Scott Workman added 10 and Aaron Bell 8.

Workman hit the game’s opening basket then Bell hit back-to-back 3’s to get the Hornets off and running.

Luke Rayburn and Strodney Davis added 5 points each. Jalen Hewitt contributed a three-point play. Riley Hall, Zach Cambron and Austin Privett each contributed 2 points.

“They had four guys with 2 points,” noted Hornets coach Steve Wilson. “They had some guys injured and were down to seven players. Before I could start substituting we had already put it on them. And, heck, I can put a second team out there that’s no worse than my first, really.”

The win improved the Hornets to 5-1 on the season. They’ll try to notch their second league victory at home on Thursday against Sheridan.
