According to Family Church Bryant, “the Marriage Tune Up Conference offers the unique chance to work on and celebrate your marriage in a relaxed atmosphere filled with laughter, insight and interaction with your spouse.”
Registration will begin Friday at 6 p.m., at Family Church Bryant and sessions go from 7-9:45 p.m., on Friday night. Saturday morning will begin with a continental breakfast at 8 a.m., followed by sessions from 8:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m.
Free childcare is available ages six weeks through sixth grade, but you must preregister. Registration can be done at www.FamilyChurchBryant.org. The cost is $69 per couple or $35 per single. Policemen, firemen, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) and active members of the military may all attend the conference for free.
“We are expecting 200-300 people to join us for this dynamic marriage tune up,” Perry Black, Senior Pastor of Family Church Bryant, said. “Jeff and Debby have a unique, direct and humorous presentation that will captivate and challenge everyone to make the adjustments needed to experience a fulfilling Christ-centered relationship.”
The McElroys began their conferences in 1991 after giving up their full time jobs of teaching school and with IBM, respectively, to go on the road and help people with their relationships. After years on the road, they settled in Knoxville, Tenn. — where they still live today — to raise their two kids, Trevan, 15, and Kristen, 20. According to their website, Foreverfamiles.com, the family still travels around 35 weekends a year doing conferences around the world.
“With marriages straining under the pressure of life, I’m confident that everyone needs to slow down to be refreshed and reminded of what a great marriage can be and find the tools needed to make it a reality,” Black said.
