The Bryant White Lady Hornets eighth grade basketball team of Bryant Middle School absorbed their first loss of the season Thursday night, 34-21, to North Little Rock.
“It was not one of our better efforts,” declared Lady Hornets coach Kenny Hays. “We were out-hustled on both ends of the floor. We missed easy shots and failed to make free throws consistently. Our defensive intensity was not at the level it needs to be in order for us to be successful.
“I am confident though that we can bounce back and give a better effort in our upcoming game,” he added.
Raven Loveless led the Lady Hornets with 8 points. Kelly Williams finished with 6, Maddie Stephens 4 and Jalen Sparks 3.
Now 3-1, the Lady Hornets travel across town to play at Bethel Middle School on Monday, Dec. 16.
