Scouts cited for advancing in rank

Scouts from BSA Troop 99 recently earned rank advancement and received awards at the July[more] Court of Honor. Pictured from left are Nate Thomas, Nick Thomas, and Evan Wahrmund.

Nate Thomas serves as Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and earned the Star rank. Nick Thomas serves as Senior Patrol Leader and earned the Life rank. Wahrmund serves as a Patrol Leader and earned the Star Rank.

The ranks of Star and Life are milestones toward the highest rank in Scouting – Eagle. As such, these ranks require mastering a number of merit badges, demonstrating leadership and responsibility, and serving others.

Troop 99 is part of the Quapaw Area Council, and is chartered to the Salem United Methodist Church in Benton.

Congratulations on achieving your ranks. As an Eagle scout from way back, I know the hard work it takes in achieving your ranks. The best to you as you continue your journey on in becoming Eagle Scouts. Hard work and determination are essential and you have demonstrated that with your accomplishments. Again, congratulations.
