WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY AS A KID? I liked playing with my Buzz Lightyear.

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? Go to college and study engineering.

OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO HAS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? My sister; she’s gone through a lot of stuff and she’s just persevered through everything.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT BASEBALL: The feel of getting to play and the atmosphere around everything.

WHAT’S YOUR APPROACH AT THE PLATE? Try not to think about anything and just see it and hit it.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? It’s gone great. We need to keep going on.

WHAT’S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT TO THE SEASON SO FAR? Going 9-0 in Florida.

WHAT’S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL THE REST OF THE SEASON AND AT STATE? We’ve got to keep working hard and keep finding ways to win.

TALK ABOUT YOUR INJURY. WHAT HAPPENED? We were playing in Florida and I felt my back aching. The next day it just got worse. I kept practicing and it kept getting worse. I finally went to the doctor. I have to go get an MRI and a bone scan to see what’s really going on.

TALK ABOUT YOUR GAME: WHAT DO YOU FEEL MOST CONFIDENT IN YOUR ABILITY TO DO? Hitting, and talking to my players and letting them know what’s going on and everything.

WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST TO IMPROVE ON IN PRACTICE? My catching skills; I try to get the fastest pop time I can and try to make decisions quicker behind the plate.

AFTER YOU’RE THROUGH PLAYING BASEBALL AT BHS, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT IT? The hard practices in preseason, just trying to get ready for everything, all the nights we have to stay out late then waking up the next morning at 5:30 and getting after it again.
