PARENTS: Mike Martin and Patty Martin.

SIBLINGS: Taylor Martin, she is 14.

FAVORITE SUBJECT IN SCHOOL: AP Government and Politics

WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME? Hang out with friends and family, lift weights.

FAVORITE FOOD: Hamburger

FAVORITE MUSIC ARTIST OR GROUP: Classic rock

FAVORITE MOVIE: Remember The Titans

FAVORITE TV SHOW: ESPN

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY AS A KID? An old tractor that we used to play with.

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? I’ll probably go to college and get a degree in Political Science then go to Law School. I’m kind of undecided on where.

OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO HAS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? Probably my coaches; they show how you need to dedicate yourself to time and how you really need to apply yourself.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT FOOTBALL? Just being with my friends and I like hitting people.

POSITION: D-line

WHAT DO YOU FEEL LIKE IS YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY ON THE FIELD? I need to hold the line, make sure we don’t get pushed back by the offensive line, make sure we can get a good rush on the quarterback during pass plays.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? I think we’re doing good so far. At the beginning we had a little bit of a rocky start. But I feel like we’re probably going to win out.

WHEN THE TEAM’S PLAYING WELL, WHAT’S THE KEY TO THAT? Everyone being close together then working together. As long as we don’t argue, everything gets done perfect.

WHAT’S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE SEASON SO FAR? Definitely winning the Salt Bowl.

WHAT’S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL THE REST OF THE SEASON? We need to make sure we stay focused during film and practice. If we lose focus then we’ll have problems.

INDIVIDUALLY, WHAT ABOUT YOUR GAME ARE YOU MOST CONFIDENT ABOUT? I usually can hold the line pretty well.

WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST TO IMPROVE? Rushing the quarterback.

AFTER YOU’RE THROUGH PLAYING FOOTBALL AT BHS, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT IT? The coaches, my teammates and the amazing games.
