WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? To attend the University of Arkansas and play baseball; study Sports Management.

OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO HAS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? Coach (Kirk) Bock and the coaching staff as well as my strength trainer, Ben Witcher. They’ve allowed me to be more advanced in my baseball knowledge and baseball attributes as well as my strength trainer getting me physically and mentally prepared to play the game.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT BASEBALL: Just being able to work as a team, play as a team and win.

POSITION: Pitcher/left field.

WHAT’S YOUR APPROACH AT THE PLATE? Be aggressive, stay in my zone, don’t chase pitches and get a good pitch to hit.

WHAT’S YOUR APPROACH ON THE MOUND? Command my pitches, all three for strikes, compete and hit my spots and ultimately win.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? We’ve been really successful. It’s still not finished. We’re trying to achieve, to be State champions. It’s still a work in progress.

WHAT’S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT TO THE SEASON SO FAR? Run-ruling Benton was pretty good.

WHAT’S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL THE REST OF THE SEASON? Stick with the grind, same approach was we’ve been doing and just win games.

TALK ABOUT YOUR GAME: WHAT DO YOU FEEL MOST CONFIDENT IN YOUR ABILITY TO DO? Drive in runs, get a win on the mound and ultimately just help my team with whatever I need to do.

WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST TO IMPROVE ON IN PRACTICE? My physical attributes, my mental attributes, being able to be prepared for any moment that comes in a baseball game.

AFTER YOU’RE THROUGH PLAYING BASEBALL AT BHS, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT IT? Just the preparation, the way we played the game, the team, the bond we made as teammates. Just the structure and everything, being able to be a part of the program because there’s not many in Arkansas that you’d be able to play baseball like this.
