WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY AS A KID? A whiffle ball and a bat.

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? I’m undecided where I want to attend college. I’d like to study Environmental Science.

OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO HAS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? My grandmother; I’ve stayed with her for a long time and she’s been there, done anything I ask her to do and more. She’s help me grow as a teenager and as a young adult.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT BASEBALL: Winning baseball games, especially, but also coming out here, especially with these seniors and just working hard knowing that our attitude towards the game is a lot different than other people. We work hard every day and we don’t take reps off. It’s just awesome to see.

POSITION: Third base and pitcher

WHAT’S YOUR APPROACH AT THE PLATE? I try to see the ball as best I can, get in time with the ball and, hopefully, square it up and hit it hard.

WHAT’S YOUR APPROACH ON THE MOUND? I try to focus on the mitt and spot up every pitch, spot the baseball exactly where it’s supposed to be, and control my movement and my head.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? We dropped two games early that we definitely shouldn’t have but we’re looking pretty good right now in conference. We’re headed on the right path into the State tournament. I think we’re still getting better.

WHAT’S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT TO THE SEASON SO FAR? We peaked during Florida. That’s when we started hitting. Ever since then, we haven’t looked back.

WHAT’S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL THE REST OF THE SEASON? Everybody be brought in and want to succeed more than they want anything else.

TALK ABOUT YOUR GAME: WHAT DO YOU FEEL MOST CONFIDENT IN YOUR ABILITY TO DO? I feel like I can play defense really well and, whenever I get on the mound, I feel like I can throw the ball where it’s supposed to be.

WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST TO IMPROVE ON IN PRACTICE? At the plate, I work on my ability to see the ball out of the hand of the pitcher.

AFTER YOU’RE THROUGH PLAYING BASEBALL AT BHS, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT IT? I’ll definitely remember the way that Coach (Kirk) Bock has been towards us, shaping us into better people. And the team, how we’ve come together every day and we’re together more than we’re at home, basically. And how we work hard together and we just have each others’ backs.
