EVENTS? 100, 200, 400, 4×400

WHAT APPROACH DO YOU TAKE TO YOUR EVENTS? First, stretch my hammy’s REALLY well, then for the actual race I try to get out hard, stay relaxed, keep my form.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? It’s been going good; I’ve set a lot of PRs so far this year. I think that we are on pace to peak come conference, State, Meet of Champs.

WHAT’S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT TO THE SEASON SO FAR? State indoor, that was the first time I was able to pull off the 400, 200 double win, and our 4×4 team set a new state record.

WHAT’S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT CONFERENCE AND STATE? Everybody staying healthy!!!!

TALK ABOUT YOUR EVENT NOW; WHAT DO THINK IS YOUR BIGGEST ASSET? WHAT ARE YOU MOST CONFIDENT IN YOUR ABILITY TO DO? I think my range is my biggest asset; I can do 100-400 so that helps score points for our team. I’m most confident in my top end speed, especially in the 400-meter dash. I feel like I can compete with anyone in the state.

WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST IN PRACTICE TO IMPROVE ON? Staying relaxed and maintaining good form. I also try to really work on my start coming out of the blocks.

WHEN YOU’RE THROUGH RUNNING TRACK AT BRYANT HIGH SCHOOL, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL LOOK BACK AND REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE? Just all the fun I’ve had running with my teammates, all the brutal workouts Coach (Steve) Oury put us through, and all the big races I was able to be a part of.
