WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? Attend Arkansas Tech University, play baseball and study Kinesiology.

OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO HAS HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? Growing up, probably, my grandpa; he’s just been a good role model to me. He’s been kind of like my dad. He’s my dad’s dad. He’s just always been there because we’ve always lived right down the street from him. Anything I’ve needed, he’s always been there to help me out.

FAVORITE THING ABOUT BASEBALL: Baseball’s a team sport and just being out here with all my friends. They’re fun to be around. And just play the game, play it hard and have fun.

POSITION: Second base

WHAT’S YOUR APPROACH AT THE PLATE? To get in time with the ball and have good rhythm, just square it up and hit it hard.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? It’s going really good. The two losses we had we kind of booted it around a little bit. Ever since our second loss, to Benton, we’ve been cruising so far. Hopefully, we can finish strong.

WHAT’S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT TO THE SEASON SO FAR? Probably going to Florida and going 9-0 and then beating Benton because beating Benton was a big part, if we didn’t win that game there was no shot of us winning conference. Right now, it’s looking good for us. We just have to finish up.

WHAT’S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL THE REST OF THE SEASON? Just keep doing what we’re doing. Our pitching is doing real great. We’ve just got to keep working on our offense, keep scoring more runs.

TALK ABOUT YOUR GAME: WHAT DO YOU FEEL MOST CONFIDENT IN YOUR ABILITY TO DO? My defense.

WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST TO IMPROVE ON IN PRACTICE? My offense, definitely.

AFTER YOU’RE THROUGH PLAYING BASEBALL AT BHS, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT IT? I’ll definitely remember just being around all my friends day in and day out. Coach (Kirk) Bock has had a big influence on everything we do in the game and off the field. He’s got us really prepared for life.
