WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY AS A KID? A Tonka truck

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? Go to college at Memphis or A-State. I want to go to med school and be an Oncologist.

OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO’S HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? HOW? Definitely, my friends; they’ve pushed me along the way. When I was low, they were there and in my highs, they were there. They’ve always been there.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT TRACK? I’d have to say winning.

EVENTS? The 200, the 400 and the 4×400 relay.

WHAT APPROACH DO YOU TAKE TO YOUR EVENTS? I always come in with the mindset that you’ve got to run the race God gives you. Sometimes it’s not good, sometimes it’s not bad but you’ve got to deal with what you’ve got. Sometimes it’s more than just you.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? It’s been outstanding. We’ve done everything we wanted to do. We won conference and, hopefully, we’re going to win State.

WHAT’S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT TO THE SEASON SO FAR? Winning conference.

WHAT’S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT STATE? Everything, a perfect meet; everything has to be ideal. Since we didn’t get our 4×100 in there we need to make up points somewhere else. That’s all.

TALK ABOUT YOUR EVENT NOW; WHAT DO THINK IS YOUR BIGGEST ASSET? WHAT ARE YOU MOST CONFIDENT IN YOUR ABILITY TO DO? Score, get my team points.

WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST IN PRACTICE TO IMPROVE ON? Probably my endurance, for my legs; my legs get tired before I get winded.

WHEN YOU’RE THROUGH RUNNING TRACK AT BRYANT HIGH SCHOOL, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL LOOK BACK AND REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE? Probably the painted-over ‘Go Panthers’ on our track in front of the home stands.
