WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY AS A KID? Jump-ropes

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? Attend Southern Arkansas University in the fall and pursue a career as a track coach and history teacher

OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO’S HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? HOW? My Uncle Chris Cooper. He has taught me that in order to achieve my best I cannot just sit by and hope for it, I have to go out and grab it myself and work hard to get there.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT TRACK? The relationship with my team, without us all being best friends, it just wouldn’t be the same.

EVENTS? 100m Hurdles, 300m hurdles, and sprints.

WHAT APPROACH DO YOU TAKE TO YOUR EVENTS? Just breathe, and take the first hurdle head on and strong, don’t even let the nerves get to you.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? I think our season is going by pretty well, besides the canceled track meets, I’m proud of this year.

WHAT’S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT TO THE SEASON SO FAR? When Haley Hood made state qualifying the first time that she even ran the 300 hurdles. That was a shock, but it only goes to prove what an amazing athlete she is, and a great asset to our team.

WHAT’S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT CONFERENCE AND STATE? Stick together and train hard, be our own cheerleaders and motivators.

TALK ABOUT YOUR EVENT NOW; WHAT DO THINK IS YOUR BIGGEST ASSET? WHAT ARE YOU MOST CONFIDENT IN YOUR ABILITY TO DO? My biggest asset is just going with the flow and finishing my race. I’m most confident in my ability to just sprint my heart out until the end of the race

WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST IN PRACTICE TO IMPROVE ON? My times, and my form on hurdles and running.

WHEN YOU’RE THROUGH RUNNING TRACK AT BRYANT HIGH SCHOOL, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL LOOK BACK AND REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE? My teammates, my goofy coach, and the track meets themselves. Nothing will ever compare to those experiences in practice.
