Spring sports benefit games this week; baseball date changed

At the request of Hot Springs Lakeside, the pre-season benefit baseball game against the Bryant Hornets has been moved to this Thursday, Feb. 27. The game was originally set for Tuesday, Feb. 25. Start time is 5 p.m.

The BHS softball and soccer teams will also be involved in pre-season benefit action this week. At the softball yard, Bryant hosts Sylvan Hills on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. A fish fry will be held in conjunction with the game with proceeds going to the Lady Hornets’ program. The Bryant boys soccer team will be hosting a jamboree with Little Rock Catholic and Cabot this Friday at 5:30 p.m., as its benefit game. The Lady Hornets will be in Russellville for a benefit jamboree that night as well.

Gate proceeds for benefit games go to the Arkansas Activities Association’s catastrophic insurance program. Only AAA passes are accepted.
