LITTLE ROCK — The Bryant Blue Lady Hornets of Bethel Middle School will play for the championship of The Anthony School Classic this evening at 5 o’clock.
The Lady Hornets finished pool play in the tournament unbeaten after cruising to a 37-6 win over the host team on Wednesday night.[more]
“We again had just a great team effort and we’re looking forward to playing in the finals of the tournament,” stated Lady Hornets coach Rhonda Hall.
Dezerah Duckworth once again paced the scoring effort with 15 points. Rori Whittaker added 8 points, Erica Smith and Andrea Buford 4 each. Keedy Harrison, Bree Forsyth and Katelyn Coppock pitched in with 2 apiece.
Buford led the team with four rebounds, Jessica Allison, Harrison and Victoria Rose pulled down three apiece while Duckworth, Whittaker and Forsyth each had 2 rebounds.
