BHS quartet selected for Governor’s School

Four 11th grade students from Bryant High School have been selected to attend the 2016 Arkansas Governor’s School hosted at Hendrix College.

Those selected to attend are:

John Hampton, son of Mark and Geneva Hampton, Visual Arts

John Mark Junkins II, son of John Mark and Rebecca Junkins, Instrumental Music

Carson Molder, son of Kevin and Ruby Molder, Mathematics

Connor Qualls, son of Ronnie and Brenda Qualls, Social Science

Selection for Governor’s School is based on a combination of ability and interest and is highly competitive. Bryant High School’s four selected students are part of 400 students from around the state selected to attend.

Arkansas Governor’s school received over 600 applications from 100 schools around the state. The six-week intensive program is in its 36th year.
