LITTLE ROCK — Desmond Duckworth and Calvin Allen combined for 20 points to lead the[more] Bryant Blue Hornets seventh grade team of Bethel Middle School to a 35-16 win over Lisa Academy on Tuesday night.
Now 3-0 overall, the Hornets will continue pool play at the Wildcat Shootout at Episcopal Collegiate of Little Rock on Thursday against E-Stem.
Duckworth finished with 11 points. Allen had 9. Caylin Allen pitched in with 5 and Caleb Dorsey had 3. Derrick Blake, Chase Kincaid and Josh Bonner finished with 2 apiece and Blake Pennington hit a free throw.
Bryant Blue established an 8-4 lead by the end of the first quarter. It was 13-6 at the half then they blew the game open in the third period building a 28-8 advantage.
