William Burgess has announced two “Meet the Candidate” events leading up to the Nov. 6[more] elections. Burgess is a candidate for Bryant City Council, Ward 2, Position 2.

“I believe it is important to know the people you are voting for,” Burgess said. “It’s not enough just to recognize a candidate’s name. Character is very important. I am holding these events so that the voters in Ward 2 can get to know me better. Likewise, I want to get to know them and their concerns.”

For convenience, both of the events are being held in Bryant’s Ward 2.
The schedule is:

• Whole Hog Cafe, Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 5:30 p.m.

• US Pizza, Friday, Nov. 2, 5:30 p.m.

Burgess, 38, is a local small business owner employing over 50 people in Saline County.
