Hornets ranked nationally (conference standings included)

The Bryant Hornets baseball team is currently ranked[more] 8th in the nation in the Easton Sports/Collegiate Baseball high school poll.

As the defending Class 7A State champion, the Hornets started the season ranked 10th in the poll. They dropped to 13th but have since moved up to No. 8, no doubt buoyed by their championship run at the Florida State League Invitational Tournament in Sanford, Fla., during spring break.

The Hornets are also ranked No. 1 in Class 7A by the Arkansas High School Baseball Coaches Association.

They are 15-3 on the season and 5-1 in the 7A/6A-Central Conference going into this Thursday’s league doubleheader at Conway.
