NORTH LITTLE ROCK — It'll be a rematch.
The Bryant Hornets will take on 7A-Central Conference rival North Little Rock in the second round of the Class 7A State Tournament on Saturday at noon at Burns Park. North Little Rock won its opener, 10-5, over Rogers to advance to the quarterfinal game against the Hornets.[more]
The teams are two of the five that tied for the 7A-Central Conference championship this season. Bryant gained the No. 1 seed via the tiebreaking procedures after posting an 8-2 win over the Charging Wildcats last Monday. Earlier in the season, North Little Rock edged the Hornets 2-1.
The winner will advance to the State semifinals on Monday.
Another 7A-Central team has advanced as well. Van Buren defeated Bentonville, 7-2.
