RUSSELLVILLE — Senior Chris Rycraw took top honors in the 198-pound division at the State Weight-lifting championships at Russellville High School on Saturday, April 3. Rycraw led the Bryant Hornets to a fourth-place finish in the top classification at the annual meet.
He lifted 340 pounds in the bench press and 275 pounds in the power clean for a 615 total.
“We were 20 pounds out of third,” noted Bryant head football coach Paul Calley. “We didn’t power clean like we should have.”
