WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE TOY AS A KID? I got this butterfly kit where you got to grow — where the caterpillars cocoon and grow into butterflies then fly away. It was cool.

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL? I’m going to Arkansas State in Jonesboro and I’m undecided.

OTHER THAN YOUR PARENTS, WHO’S HAD THE BIGGEST INFLUENCE ON YOUR LIFE? HOW? My soccer coach, Coach (Julie) Long; she’s taught me dedication, how much strength I really do have. She’s awesome, a great person.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT TRACK? I love the ability for all these different people to come together. They don’t do their events together and they’re all separate and yet they’re still a team.

EVENTS? This is my first year so I’ve only competed in one track meet but I’ve done the two-mile and the 4×800.

WHAT APPROACH DO YOU TAKE TO YOUR EVENTS? Just throw yourself in it, don’t be timid, do the best that you can and run your heart out.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SEASON SO FAR? I think everybody’s doing great. They’re putting their heart into everything and that’s all that matters.

WHAT’S BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE SEASON SO FAR? Winning the home meet and seeing everybody grow and realizing they have more potential than they thought they did.

WHAT’S IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE TEAM TO BE SUCCESSFUL AT CONFERENCE AND STATE? Stay a team, be together and pull through. Do everything their best.

TALK ABOUT YOUR EVENTS NOW; WHAT DO YOU THINK IS YOUR BIGGEST ASSET? WHAT ARE YOU MOST CONFIDENT IN YOUR ABILITY TO DO? I just do as good as I can. Track has helped me build my endurance and get better at everything.

WHAT DO YOU WORK HARDEST IN PRACTICE TO IMPROVE ON? My form and my speed.

WHEN YOU’RE THROUGH RUNNING TRACK AT BRYANT HIGH SCHOOL, WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’LL LOOK BACK AND REMEMBER MOST FONDLY ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE? Meeting all these new great people and seeing a different team other than teams I’ve been on before. It’s great.
